To create a better English environment, mobilize the enthusiasm of the students to learn English, improve the level of students' oral English and English practical application ability, develop their comprehensive qualities, but also for the 20th anniversary of Shanghai Liaoyuan Bilingual School，we successfully held the English speech contest finals at 12:00 on May 29, 2019 in the conference room.
The theme of the competition is "Liaoyuan Bilingual School in my eyes". The contestants have gone through training, preliminary competition, final competition, and one month of layer upon layer selection, breaking through many difficulties. 14 contestants from Grade 5 came onto the stage to give speeches successively. The contestants gave speeches with standard pronunciation, tone and fluent oral English, which made the audience and judges find everything new and fresh, and also won bursts of applause.
This English speech contest provides a platform for students of our school to show their self-style and bring visual and auditory harvest .It also plays a role in improving students' oral ability.
