Xuelexing Kindergarten carried out fire safety drills 

Minhang Xuelexing conducted a fire safety drill in order to further strengthen teachers' and students' awareness of fire safety and improve their resilience in the face of emergency evacuation. The kindergarten invited the training teacher of the fire maintenance unit to give field instruction and conduct physical operation, so that teachers and children can understand the general knowledge of fire fighting and the use of fire extinguishers.



After the fire maintenance training instructor explained and operated the use of fire extinguishers. The children and teachers were also invited to share the knowledge they just learned. And then, the Chinese and foreign teachers all operated the fire extinguisher under the guidance of the training instructor.

In order to raise the safety awareness of all teachers and children, we recently carried out a fire drill.

When the children were in class, the alarm sounded suddenly, and the radio said, "All faculty and staff should cover their noses and mouths and evacuate to the back playground according to the escape route." At the same time to report to the principal, principal immediately dial 119. The life teacher quickly hands out small towels to each child, and the teacher leads the children along the discussed escape route.The teacher keeps reminding children "towel cover mouth and nose", "bend down", "line up orderly go forward". Children are very cooperative. 

Take the stairs carefully with the handrail. In less than 3 minutes of evacuation, the kidss will be evacuated to the empty field of the playground. The teachers reported the number of assembled to the head of the garden.
 

The nurse with the box will also come round oh, make sure that all the children are injured, and then report to the head teacher "the whole kindergarten is safe".

In order to popularize the awareness of fire safety, we security uncle took out a firearm, the teachers have tried the use of fire extinguishers, only by personal practice, can we really master. The teachers are neat and uniform, and the standards are quick.

 Through this dril, combined with IB exploration, children can gain life experience and learn how to protect themselves in case of danger. 

Recently, Pudong Xuelexing started a fire escape drill. Before the drill, the teachers gave the children an educational activity on fire escape and fire fighting equipment to improve their safety awareness and safety escape skills.

Kindergarten teachers and children again experienced the scene of fire escape, the children remembered the escape posture: low posture, bending down, holding a wet towel to cover the nose and mouth, evacuate to the safe area along the escape route.

The children fled to a safe area and when they reached the playground, the teacher counted the number of children and reported to the director when the whole school was present.

The children and teachers watched together how the security guard used the fire extinguisher to put out the fire. This again strengthened the awareness of teachers and children on the proper use of fire extinguishers.

The drill was fully attended and achieved the expected effect. Through the evacuation drill, teachers and children further mastered how to actively respond in the event of a fire and acquired the knowledge and skills to effectively save themselves.
