Private X.L.X Kindergarten in Pudong New Area, Shanghai (referred to as "Pudong X.L.X" for short) was founded in 2018. In 2021, it officially obtained the IB-PYP certification from the International Baccalaureate Organization, becoming an IB World School and the only IB-certified kindergarten in Tang Town. Located at No. 58 Hongya Road, Pudong New Area, the kindergarten covers a land area of 2,102 square meters and a building area of 2,578.24 square meters, with a scale of 6 classes. Relying on high-quality educational resources and a unique educational atmosphere, it has attracted many nearby families to choose it.
The kindergarten is affiliated to Shanghai Yushen Education Group—the only education group in Shanghai whose affiliated institutions (covering kindergarten to senior high school) all hold IB certification. The curriculum system takes the integrated curriculum of "IB-PYP + Shanghai Second-phase Curriculum Reform" as its core, and carries out inquiry-based teaching around the six IB-PYP transdisciplinary themes such as "Who We Are" and "Where We Are in Place and Time". Children in junior, middle, and senior kindergarten classes advance in different time periods to achieve differentiated training. The characteristic courses cover 8 categories including festival cultural celebrations, food education culture, Orff music, Lego, and Jielika. The extended courses include science DIY, roller skating, taekwondo, and creative art, which balance the all-round development of children and their personalized interest needs. For English teaching, foreign teachers take charge of classes for half a day. Combined with IB integrated courses, English picture book reading, and daily activity scenarios, it ensures the input and output of Chinese and English, laying a solid bilingual foundation for children.
The kindergarten has a "castle-style" layout, and the environment is jointly created by teachers and students—decorating the space with ornaments, natural objects, and creative handmade works to display IB inquiry results and create a free, open, and orderly learning atmosphere. It has complete hardware facilities, including central air conditioning, fire safety equipment, multimedia educational facilities, healthy direct drinking water equipment, and full-coverage alarm and monitoring devices. It also has special spaces such as a picture book library, a piano room, a music room, and a Jielika mental development room, as well as a spacious outdoor activity area and a food education planting area. Meals are freshly prepared daily by a team of chefs with more than 10 years of experience in international kindergartens. Health doctors formulate scientific meal plans according to children's growth and development needs.
